Our Pledge
Philly Tours by Founders addresses changes in the social community by using history, education, and cultural storytelling to connect people to the issues shaping Philadelphia today. As the city grows, changes, and prepares for America 250, our company creates tours and educational experiences that help residents, visitors, students, and families understand how the past still influences neighborhoods, identity, civic life, freedom, and community development.
Stories We Carry Forward
We focus on overlooked and underrepresented stories, including Black American history, the Underground Railroad, Revolutionary Philadelphia, public art, architecture, faith communities, and neighborhood landmarks. By making these stories accessible through walking tours, digital content, merchandise, and educational programming, we help the public engage with social change in a meaningful and memorable way.
Community Impact
Our work supports cultural awareness, local tourism, historical preservation, youth education, and community pride. We believe that understanding history helps people better understand the present and participate more thoughtfully in the future.
How We Practice It
We build walking routes, digital guides, story-driven products, and educational materials that invite people to slow down, notice the city around them, and connect Philadelphia's past to the choices communities face now.
